Louise had cancer when she was nine years old and had to have a leg amputated. This setback did not
prevent her from leading a full and active life. Her disability gave her a special empathy with
physically and mentally handicapped children and after completing her degree went on to teach at
Gibside Special School in Gatehead where she adored the children and always celebrated their
achievements. The music was recorded by the children at her school and the proceeds from the CD
donated to the North of England Childrens Cancer Research charity. The song "Kumbaya" was
played at her funeral.
On the last day of term 2005 she became very breathless and was taken to hospital where she was
diagnosed with secondary liver cancer. This came as a total shock as she had been cancer free for 18
years. Louise dealt with this terrible news with enormous courage and dignity, she never ever asked
"Why me?" even finding time to nominate me for the Evening Chronicle Mother of the Year
competion.
We thought Louise was a truly inspirational young girl and our life is so empty without her.
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around her
And whispered, "Come with Me"
With tearful eyes we watched her suffer
And saw her fade away,
Although we loved her dearly
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
HEAVEN
A silver thread that keeps me near
To those I love and hold so dear,
Will somebody slip, and I'll swim free
A soul afloat in a bounteous sea.
I'll also soar in the maddening glee,
To places unseen, by you and me.
Through darkest night and brightest day
I'll fly to a far and magical bay.
In eternal heavens of LOVE and PEACE
My God-given life will never cease.
The passing of time will be obsolete....
Travelling the auras, no great feat.
Don't you grieve, notice the sound
Of my songs to you, with love abound
I'll never leave you, dont you see
I'll live with you, Eternally!!!

PROMISE
Of angel wings and heavenly things
There's very little know,
For those who have the answers
Are, forever, from us gone.
Life in the hereafter,
In faith, I must accept
Thoughts that trouble not the people
With families still intact.
But those of us who've travelled
Down the lonely path of grief
Are forever, seeking answers
To the riddle, which is life.
We trek through shadowed forests
Past the ugly shroud of death
Towards a promise for the future
Of a kinder, better place.
So, we look to see the angel wings
And listen for the hymn
That God will send to guide us
When we leave to be with HIM.

SEND MY GONE TO SOON FRIEND AN ANGEL
Please send my friend an angel
Send her one of mine
A loving and caring one
The best that you can find.
Please send my friend an angel
And trust her with its care
Someone or something for her to love
And to always be there.
Please send my friend an angel
One to help her fill her days
With hope - love and laughter
And the warmth of sunshine days.
Please send my friend an angel
You know she gave me mine
Please send her down and angel
A true friend is hard to find.

Grief is like a river
My grief is like a river,
I have to let it flow,
but I myself determine
just where the banks will go.
Some days the current takes me
in waves of guilt and pain
but there are always quiet pools
where i can rest again.
I rest on rocks of anger
my faith seems faint indeed
but there are other swimmers
who know that what i need
Are loving hands to hold me
when the waters are too swift,
and someone kind to listen
when i just seem to drift.
Grief's river is a process
of relinquishing the past
By swimming in hope's channels
I'll reach the shore at last.

Thank you Kath xx
Hi Kath,
I dont know if you got the other message - but Bethany did get the CD and loves it. She was so thrilled to hear other children like herself singing. She has never had a CD with other special needs children singing on it. It was very kind of you to send it and thanks also for the sweets you sent. I hope your doing okay. I do think of you and Louise a lot. She was a very special person and I am sure the children at her school loved her very much. Sending love to you, and your family. From your friend Sarah xx
Hi Kath - Thinking of your Lovely Louise
Hi Kath,
Just wanted to say that the music on Louise's site - is the 'only' music which plays on my PC. Every other site, plays music in patchy intervals. Louise's music plays clearly, consistently and is very moving. Is there any way I could buy a copy of the CD produced in Louise's memory? I have a very disabled daughter called Bethany, who loves music and I think she would particularly respond to this - as she would know these children are like her - VERY special. I hope your doing okay. I think of you often and send you and your family all my love. xx
The Bridge
by Joy Cowley
There are times in life
When we are called to be bridges
Not a great monument spanning a distance
And carrying loads of heavy traffic,
But a simple bridge to help one person from here to there
Over some difficulty such as pain, grief, fear, loneliness,
A bridge which opens the way for the ongoing journey.
When I become a bridge for another
I bring upon myself a blessing
For I escape from the small prison of self
And exist for the wider world
Breaking out to be a larger being
Who can enter another’s pain
And rejoice in another’s triumph.
I know of only one greater blessing in this life
And that is to allow
Someone else to be a bridge for me.
Thank you for being my bridge.XXX

our children give us strength
our children give us hope
our children give us future
when our child becomes an angel
its is their love thats keeps us going
it gives us the strength to carry on
their love leaves us with hope

Hold On
Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth,
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree that stands by itself,
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a long way from here,
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go,
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you. xx xx
Special letter from heaven
I'm writing this from heaven where I dwell with God above. Where there's no more tears or sadness, there is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy, just becuase I am out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you, every morning, noon and night.
That day i had to leaveyou, when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and he said 'I welcome you'.
Its good to have you back again.
You were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family and friends, they will be here later on.
Then God gave me a list of things HE wished for me to do. And foremost on that list of mine, is to watch and care for you.
And I will be beside you every day and week and year.ANd when you sad, I'm standing there to wipe away the fear.
And when you lie in bed at night the days chores put to flight, God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night.
When you think on life on earth, because you are only human, its bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain.
Remember, there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.
It's always God's philosophy and I'd like it for you too, that as yougive unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help someone in sorrow or in pain, then you can say to GOD at night, My day was not in vain.
And now I am content that my life was worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meets someone who is down and feeling low like you - just lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go.
When you are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps only a half a step behind.
And when you feel that gentle breeze or the wind upon your face, that's me giving you a breat big hug or just a soft embrace.
And when its time for you to go from body to be free, remember you're not going, you comind here to ME!!
And i will always love you from the land way up above,
We will be in touch again - soon...
P.S. GOD SENDS HIS LOVE!!!!
